Vince Carter Jersey Retirement

How Do You Make a Number Famous?

This film anchored the in-arena ceremony for Vince Carter’s jersey retirement, honoring him as the seventh player in franchise history to be raised to the rafters. The goal was to tell Vince’s full story with weight and restraint, while creating a moment that worked live in the building and held up on national broadcast.

The story was told through the voice of Dr. J, the franchise icon who defined an earlier era of Nets basketball & Vince's favorite player.

The film was produced on a virtual soundstage at The Garage, placing Dr. J inside hyperreal recreations of three defining gyms from Vince Carter’s life.

The campaign was awarded a bronze in the 2025 Clio Sports Awards.
